Question by Juno: Is “acer” a good brand if someone is looking to buy a good laptop?
So I saw a laptop being advertised for 349.99 and the brand was “acer.” I would really appreciate feedback from users who have had firsthand experience with this brand. Thank you

I’ve had an Acer for about 3 years and it still works great, I’ve never had any problems with it.

my personal expirence acers are decent. But more importantly the Specs of the computer are what really matter.
If the operating system is vista just a heads up get a laptop with at least 2 gigs of ram.

It’s not a bad brand, certainly. I’ve tested a few in retail stores, and they seem pretty durable and of good quality. If you’re going to be using the laptop primarily for home/internet use, I think it’s worth it. The hindges seem durable enough so that if you go to school or other business-related places, your chance of the laptop breaking are slim, though do buy an extended warranty for any “just in case” moments. Any laptop will have those. However, if you are a person who drives trucks on heavy roads which often bump and throw things around in the compartment, a toughbook might be better.
