What Does My Photography Teacher Mean when She Says “usb”?

Question by Kami: What does my photography teacher mean when she says “USB”?
I know what a USB cord is (to transfer pictures from camera to the computer) but my teacher says we need to bring our pictures for the class on a “USB”. Does she mean bring in the cord? Or a flashdrive? I’m not the most technology savvy..

“Universal Serial Bus” – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB

She wants you to load your images onto, most likely, a flashdrive – Although, she could really be talking about any type of storage device that has a male USB connector that plugs directly into the USB port on a computer, or other electronic device.

Answer by reportmeplease
better clarify this with her. USB cable does not hold or store data
