Question by Kenneth: Are you allowed to wear open toed sandals and or flip flops at work? What type of work do you do?
I work at a call center now and even though the company handbook states that open toed shoes and rubber beach type flip flops are prohibited I see people tend to wear them anyways with no problem.

I work at an insurance company for Medicare. no one ever comes into the office. we are allowed to wear “strappy style sandals”. Whatever that means? haha. really we can wear any flip flops that are fancy or have something on them – but absolutely not the plain ones from like old navy. or any sandal is okay.
i see people wearing the regular flipflops and not get in trouble. I think it is because who ever wrote those rules don’t evne work at that building and its not like customers are ever in the office.
