Question by soliel021: Can I reach my goal weight with my current plan?
Hi, I am 19 years old and I weigh 138 pounds. My goal is to weigh 115 lbs by July 1st. To reach it I will have to lose 23 lbs in 11 weeks, which is around 2 lbs a week. I have developed a plan to do this, & I would like some opinions (+tips/encouragement) on whether it will be possible.
The plan consists of:
1. In the a.m. jogging 1 mile at a speed that keeps my heart rate within the “cardio” workout heart rate recommendations for my age (155-165 beats per minute).
2. In the p.m. walking 7 miles at a speed that keeps my heart rate within the “fat burning” workout heart rate recommendations (130-140bpm).
3. Keeping my eating habits the same as now: Vegetarian, eating around 1800 calories per day.
4. Stretching for 15 minutes before each workout.
5. I plan to increase the speed of both workouts by a tenth (.1) of a mph every three days.
Do you think I will reach or even exceed my goal if I follow this plan? Do you have any suggestions or tips?
Thanks!
