Question by JayJay: What does a “cardio” test consist of?
Hubby is going in for a medical test and its marked, “cardio”?
What test will be be tacking and what will they ask him to do?
He has an artificial disc in his back and can not run..? How will they work around this and how will it affect the test?
I’m asking because there is Something wrong..they just can’t find what is wrong..This has been going on for awhile.

Probably will have him doing alot of running on treadmills and different exercises to see how he responds.. called a Stress Test ..maybe an ekg or something.. but umm nothin too bad just checkin for anything irregular such as murmurs

Usually a cardio test affiliates with heart, the way it beats or its pulse rate,some cardio test usually are deep breaths in which doctors measure your beat and usually followed by blood pressure, other test can occur when the patient is in motion to test the increase of hearth rate.

Since he is unable to run on a treadmill, they now have medication that can be administered which will cause the heart to speed up. They will be looking for blood flows in the main arteries along with how his heart handles the stress. I hope all comes out well, let us know the results and we will keep your husband in our prayers.
