Which is better?
Running for an hour on the elliptical on the program “cardio” at level 1, or swimming for an hour? (30 laps)

Elliptical training is very effective at losing weight it involves many muscles using the entire body weight as a resistance. Swimming is non-impact and involves very little micro tearing of muscle fibers. Swimming will give your muscles a more flat yet toned look and using the elliptical will help you shed unwanted fat. As far as what one is better….. I’d say swimming because of the fact is incorporates almost every muscle in the body, is a lot tougher, increases lung volume, and is almost 0 impact on any joint. No Delayed onset muscle soreness, no sore joints, just results. But a con would surely be this during the actual activity you probably do not shed much fat due to the fact most pools are cold and would not allow your body heat to raise until you’ve completed your swim. My suggestion would to be incorporate both of these cardio routines into your schedule.
