I am in a new relationship. Its been 4 months so far. What does it mean when he calls me “love”, instead of babe, baby etc. We have not said I love you yet, although I want to.

its just another pet name. I call my bestfriend “love” or lovely. I mean obviously he likes you if he has a cute name like that for you…just give it time.

Doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s saying that I love you so don’t jump the gun and put words in his mouth. Could mean that he thinks very highly of you and that he really cares about you. Or it could mean that’s just what he likes to call you.

It does not mean anything as baby or babe doesn’t, its just a word. Its totally different when someone looks you in the eyes and tells you he loves you.

It doesn’t necessarily mean anything. If you want to say it, then say it! Or you could say something similar, like ‘I really care about you.’

It really depends on the person. He may not want to say “I love you” because he’s afraid even though he really does. Or, he could just be saying it to sound sweet (my friend is very flirty and says it to a lot of girls). If he just recently started saying it, I’d say he’s just avoiding saying “I love you” even though he really does. But if he’s always done it, he’s probably just being sweet.

I don’t think this is something to stress over, you’re in a fairly new relationship so try not to over analyze, just have fun. When He calls you love I think it’s just his way of saying he cares, maybe not that he’s truly,madly,deeply in love with you but he does care.

It simply means he cares for you affectionately. Because he doesn’t call you babe or baby means that he respects you, and though he is not ready to say i love you he still cares for you alot.

It doesn’t mean anything, he is just trying to be sweet. Some guys have a hard time calling their girls name. So just smile and call him “honey”
